Chalkboard Christmas Shelves

|
I am so happy to finally share with you some
Christmas decorations in my home.
I have been staring at my empty shelves for about a week now,
just waiting for inspiration to strike.
And wouldn’t you know it, one day it finally did.
Or maybe that was procrastination setting a fire under my butt. 🙂
Either way, it’s done!

I knew I wanted to do something with a chalkboard.
Did I have one? No.
So that meant I had to get creative, which I did!
I found a great printable for my inspiration and drew it on
my self-made chalkboard.

My handwriting is not perfect, but I like that… it gives the sign some character.
Or at least that’s what I tell myself! 🙂
(I have a tutorial on how to create your own handwritten chalkboard)

To balance out the sign I placed some glass filled candle holders on one side…

and a glass apothecary jar filled with faux snow and a gold church on the other.

On the lower shelf I placed two mini Christmas trees
that I decked out with some ornaments and yes, even lights.

I do have an outlet close by but I HATE seeing cords.
So my solution was some battery operated lights!
Boo yah!

You should see them at night.
Well here, have a look…

I love it when an inspiration comes together.

Have you begun decorating for Christmas or are you already done?
I still have the tree and a few other places left to finish.
I better go get busy! 🙂

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my Christmas spirit.

  1. Your shelves look great and your chalkboard is amazing! I’ve not used the chalk markers yet, but everytime I try to pick one up at the craft store, they are out. Love your decorations!
